As a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional, Rich helps individuals and small businesses to develop and implement retirement, savings and insurance programs.  Because every person, family or business has their own unique economic situation and financial goals, Rich customizes his recommendations based on his clients' unique needs.  Helping clients to achieve their financial goals is his highest priority.

Rich retired from the United States Navy as a Commander.  As a Surface Warfare and Joint Service Officer he served at sea in Destroyers and Salvage ships, both above and below decks, East and West Coasts.  Ashore he served on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon during Desert Storm; with the Military Sealift Command (to bring everything back); and was in charge of the Gas Turbine Engineering School in Newport, RI.  Rich's experience in the Navy has been instrumental in allowing him to analyze clients' financial situations, examine the options and to recommend a course of action.

After the Navy, Rich worked as a Project Manager with a major consulting firm and as the Manager of a Cogeneration Power Plant before joining Independent Capital Management.  He is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in Washington DC; holds a Masters Degree from the University of Rhode Island; and a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Maritime College at Ft. Schuyler.

Rich and his wife RoxAnne have been married for 30 years and have two daughters, a son, a cat, and a bird.  Rich officiates youth soccer matches (AYSO), teaches classes for new referees, works with the Boy Scouts and facets rough stones into gems.
